Adressing triple burden of disease with policy and industry regulation. We need impact with better product formulation as affordable options for most of the population to address diseases of lifestyle, convenience and limited choices due to location and poverty. Price and convenience trumps health for most South Africans. When the choice lies between adverse health effects and household food security and child hunger, food additives is the furthest thing from that breadwinner mind. Together with Food technologists we are failing the average South Afican Consumer who are plagued by a vicious cycle from one generation to the next. If a child can become aggressive as adverse reaction to food additives, what future does he have if there is no control over the food his mother are compelled to feed him. Food allergy is a rich man’s disease in South Africa in my opinion. |

Knowing what stress is and that having no signs of mental illness does not mean you have good well being or health but need to dig deeper and also that you can always get help to manage stress you are not alone. |
Took long to complete but it was quite worth it. |

Strategies to manage stress and be resilient. I liked the fact that there were specific practical examples for us to implement in our daily lives. This course has given me a lot of ideas and tools to learn how to manage my work-life balance. |
One technical issue – the last form (SMARTER-plan_fillable) would not allow me to fill in each block without automatically copying/filling in what I had typed in another block. |
